About This Guide

What this site is

TikTokBanner.online is an independent guide about TikTok's profile banner feature — what it is, how to check whether your account has it, and what to do while you wait. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to TikTok or ByteDance in any way. We are simply people who got tired of watching misleading "get the banner free" tutorials and decided to write down what is actually true.

How we work

Every claim on this site is checked against what the official TikTok app actually does. When we say the banner is account-gated, that is because the "Change background" option genuinely appears for some accounts and not others on the same app version. When we say video covers are the official alternative, that is because every account can set them today. We would rather tell you "not yet" than send you toward something risky.

What we will never do

We do not link to modified APK downloads, "TikTok Pro" apps, or any third-party installer. We do not publish download buttons for unofficial software. We do not repeat social media claims without checking them. If a tutorial's promise sounds too easy, assume it needs verification — and you can check our FAQ for the most common ones, answered straight.

Why this site exists

The banner trend created a perfect storm: a real feature, limited access, and a flood of tutorials monetizing the gap with mod APK links. The people most likely to get hurt are the ones who just want their profile to look nice. If this site stops even a few of them from installing something malicious, it has done its job. For the official app itself, head to our download page — official stores only, always.
